Membership Administrator Policy
1. Overview
The Membership Administrator is responsible for managing the membership life cycle at ChattLab Makerspace, ensuring a smooth experience for both new and existing members while maintaining accurate records and financial accountability.
2. Duties & Responsibilities
The Membership Administrator focuses on the following key areas:
- Membership Processing:
- Handling new member applications and guiding applicants through the approval process.
- Ensuring all required information is collected for membership records.
- Communicating with applicants regarding their status and next steps.
- Member Records Management:
- Maintaining accurate records of both new and existing members.
- Requesting additional data from members as needed to ensure up-to-date information.
- Ensuring compliance with membership policies established by the Board of Directors.
- Financial & Payment Processing:
- Overseeing membership dues, ensuring that payments are processed correctly and on time.
- Working with members to resolve any payment issues and ensure financial obligations are met.
- Membership Termination & Cancellations:
- Assisting members who wish to cancel their membership, guiding them through the proper procedures.
- Ensuring that cancellations are documented appropriately.
3. Reporting Structure
The Membership Administrator reports to the President and collaborates closely with:
- The Treasurer, to ensure proper payment processing and financial oversight.
- The Secretary, to maintain and update membership records as needed.
This role plays a critical part in maintaining member engagement, compliance, and financial integrity, supporting the makerspace’s mission of fostering a strong and well-managed community.
