Safety
- Safety glasses are always required.
- Hearing protection and dust masks are highly recommended.
Special Instructions
- Only use the planer with clean, new wood free of foreign objects (like nails). Pallet wood and barn wood should not be used in the planer.
- Make sure that the opposite face of the board is flat. This can be done on the joiner.
- Adjust the height to a little bit less than the current thickness. You should never remove more than about 1/16“ during one pass.
- Turn the planer on.
- Feed the piece through.
- Adjust the height again and repeat.
