This page describes how the application and approval worfkow works, including the systems used.

Here's the basic flow:

1. A prospective member goes to the joining_steps page and clicks the application link.
2. The prospect fills out the application including information we need to evaluate the prospect.
3. Upon submitting the application , an email is sent to each board member with a link to review the application.
4. Each board member can approve or deny the application and put in a note (optional).
5. If the prospect qualifies for approval by having a 2 more “ayes” than “nays”, an email goes out to the those assigned with the “approver” role. This occurs after one of the following conditions: happens:
   1. A net positive of 2 aye votes and a 4 day period passes.
   2. A net positive of 4 aye votes happens.
6. If an Approver approves the prospect, the new member is sent an email given them instructions on what to do next (defined on joining_steps page).
7. Once the member completes their paypal , they should connect with a person to get them setup with a fob after getting a copy of their state ID, verifying the waiver and verifying the payment.
