Rigid12 1/2" thickness planer
A planer will plane wood down to a specific thickness.

Safety glasses are
always
required.
Hearing protection and dust masks are highly recommended.
Special Instructions
Only use the planer with clean, new wood free of foreign objects (like nails). Pallet wood and barn wood should not be used in the planer.
Make sure that the opposite face of the board is flat. This can be done on the joiner.
Adjust the height to a little bit less than the current thickness.
You should never remove more than about 1/16“ during one pass.
Turn the planer on.
Feed the piece through.
Adjust the height again and repeat.
